Making Democracy Work

The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
The League of Women Voters of North Carolina (LWVNC) exists to support informed and active participation in our democracy. While the League never endorses a political party or individual candidates, LWVNC is appalled and saddened by the recent firebombing of the Orange County Republican Party headquarters. We stand with all Americans who care about a free and open democracy in the hope that the perpetrators will be soon brought to justice

Early Voting in Dare County starts on October 20th through November 5th. For complete schedule of Early Voting, Sample Ballot, Voting Rules for 2016, Voter's Guide, and Forum schedule please see the ELECTIONS page.
